Antaran is presenting the Artisan Exhibit of Handwoven Textiles on 24th & 25th July, 2019. The exhibit will be held at North Lounge, World Trade Centre, Cuffe Parade in Mumbai. The exhibit will showcase handwoven textiles created by artisans from Maniabandha in Odisha, Kamrup in Assam and Dimapur in Nagaland.
Antaran is a key intervention initiated to bring seminal changes in craft development. The aim is to bring about changes by offering improving technology, tools and market access so as to create a sustainable environment for these craft forms to survive and thrive in. To this end, Antaran is establishing a platform to create awareness about the crafts of the lesser known weaving clusters and also to showcase the potential of these remarkable weavers.
A wide range of dupattas, saris, stoles, yardages and home textiles will be available for sale and ordering directly from the artisans.
