Arduino Day 2K18

Arduino Day is a worldwide birthday celebration of Arduino on 12th May. It's a 24 hour-long event – organized directly by the community, or by the Arduino founders – that brings people together to share their experiences and learn more about the open-source platform.

On this day, Fablabz(Official Arduino User Group) will be conducting hands on training workshop and hackathon @ Sri Ramakrishna College of Arts and Science, Coimbatore.

Workshop

FabLabz is known  for its Hands-On training workshops. On Arduino day, we are organizing a one day hands-on training Introductory along with a DIY session on the second day.

Workshop Participant will be provided with take Home Kit Per Team of 5 and also International Certificate from Arduino.cc, Italy.

Hackathon

Hack it Using Arduino and get a chance to Win Raspberry Pi, Arduino and 50K Worth Prizes along with International certificate from Arduino.cc, Italy.

 12 hour Hack using Arduino, based on the topics mentioned below:

1. Smart Energy Monitoring
   • Monitoring Electricity at household level, efficient, easy and integrated power system.
   • Prediction of Load demand and power ability
     
     
2. Climate Change and Prediction
   • Climate Monitoring
   • Basic Climatic factors Monitoring
   • Weather Prediction
     
     
3. Enhanced Traffic Control System
   • To get real time information of Traffic
   • Crime activities on road
   • Finding Suspicious things on roads
   • Processing better traffic clearing decisions by the system.
     
     
4. Detection of Leaks and Flaws in Pipelines
   • Seeking method and technology that can reliably, efficiently and cost  effective solution to detect leaks in buried pipelines.
   • Detecting and transferring the data either by IoT or manually. 
     
     
5.  Climate Change and Prediction
   • To track pollution in cities.
   • To upload the data in a web-page.
   • If possible, Analytics for the data.

General Rules For Hackathon

1. Must submit an abstract before 25th of April to fablabz.in@gmail.com.
2. The hacks must be done using Arduino or Compatible.
3. The raw materials like Arduino boards, sensors and other components must be brought by the candidates.
4. If any components needed, Kindly inform to Subash.M (8300508009). The Money for the components will be charged from you.
5. We are subjected to change your topics if needed.
6. Power and Junction Box will be provided by us.
7. The jury's judgement will be the final.
8. The selected students will get an opportunity to work further on their projects.
9. It is compulsory to get your tickets which you have booked for the event.
   
   

 Team Rules

1. Minimum 2 members and maximum 5 members per team.
2. Minimum one laptop is mandatory for one team.

NOTE: Participants who wish to have lunch at the venue, have to book lunch ticket. 

Kindly pay rupee 500 for workshop and 150 for hackathon at the registration desk
