Beginners Trail at Sanjay Gandhi National Park

A short and beautiful Trail which suits all ages. It is one of the best trail to initiate your child into the charms of the forest.

The walk is on flat terrain and ends at a flowing stream. On this trail the naturalist will talk about the interesting flora and fauna seen on way. You can get to see lot of different types of insects, crabs and plants. This trail is one of the most pleasurable walks as it crisscrosses a small but a rapid forest stream and sitting alongside it can be very relaxing for the fast paced city dwellers.

Checklist for the trail

1. Backpack with a snack box and water bottles for yourself and your child. 
2. Wear sports shoes/ crocs. 
3. Carry rain coat/ umbrella
4. Wear a full-length T-shirt and track pant. you may want to carry extra pair of clothes for your child.
5. Keep your mobile/ wallet in waterproof pouch
6. Apply Odomos to avoid mosquitoes. Carry Odomos along.
7. Please don't carry chips or any food item which is crumbly to avoid dirtying the trail.

The trail starts approximately 3 km away from the main entry gate. We normally carpool and reach the trail starting point. In case sufficient cars are not available then we hire vans available in the park. That would be an additional charge of 50/- per person one way (as mandated by park authority).
