BAAN Hikers have arranged Bird Watching at Bhigwan Bird Sanctuary on 10 & 11 February 2018. (Leaving of Friday Night)
Bhigwan Bird Sanctuary:
You can spot almost all wetland birds of the region. Greater Flamingos, Painted Storks, Grey Herons, Black-headed Ibis, Night Heron, Little Cormorants, The Great Egret, Black Headed Ibis, Glossy Ibis, Black Winged Stilt, Black Tailed Godwit, Cormorant, Sea-Gulls, Spoon Bill Stork’s, Painted Stork’s, Open Bill Storks, Pin Tail Ducks, Spot Billed Ducks, Marsh Harrier and many more. The backwater and Wetland of Ujani Dam in Pune, Maharashtra makes Bhigwan an ideal bird destination. Providing them lots of food and cool temperature, this place is a paradise to almost 51 migratory birds.

Day
Reach Bhigwan by 05.00 am.
Freshen up and Breakfast
Morning boat ride gives you an excellent opportunity to click classic shots in morning low light. We will also be visiting nesting colony (a part of marshland where majority of nests are located)
Back to Base & Lunch and rest for a while.
Post lunch one more boat ride. We will try to reach Flamingo point to have a close shot with flamingos.
Sun set before boat ride will give you a chance to click awesome shots with golden light
Get some beautiful evening clicks.
Bird information session followed by Dinner
Good night at 11:00 pm
Day 2
Wake up early morning (05:30 am)
Morning Tea and Breakfast.
Proceed for 2 hour boat ride gives you an excellent opportunity to click classic shots in morning low light...and beautiful sunrise with silhouette birds.
We will also be visiting nesting colony in broad light (a part of marshland where majority of nests are located). A good opportunity for observe land birds.
Back to base followed by Lunch
Start our travel back for Mumbai by 2:00 pm. Reach Mumbai by 08:00 pm
Point and shoot cameras even can click wonderful photographs.
