IT’S POETRY PARTY TIME!
April is Poetry Month. DelSlam is throwing this special once in a year party with poetry, piano, socializing and fun.
Poets, writers, artists, teens and youth are all invited! Everybody is welcome. Bring your friends.
4 pm to 5.00 pm: Spoken Word Poetry Performances
5.00 pm to 5.30 pm: Piano Recital by Dennis Crow
5 pm to 5.30 pm: Activities
5.30 pm to 7.00 pm: Meet and Mingle
Spoken Word Poetry Performances
DelSlam welcomes young poets to perform their poetry on stage. Those who wish to perform are requested to send their poems to freddie@delhipoetryslam.com.
1. Poem needs to be 3 minutes or less
2. Poem has to be memorized fully, those who read out of paper or mobile phone will be disqualified
3. Poems should be in English or Hindi
4. No hate speech
It is not mandatory to perform in order to attend the poetry party. Everybody is welcome, whether you are a poet or not.
Piano Recital by Dennis Crow
Born in Mitchell,South Dakota but raised in San Francisco, San Diego, Miami, Chicago, New Orleans, New York City, and Ogunquit Maine. Dennis has played the piano for 2 US Presidents, and 1 UK Prime Minister; Once at the White House, and the other for a church service in La Jolla, CA. He also performed at the Edinburgh Castle in Scotland for the Royals, and the International Music Festival, also in Edinburgh. Dennis also loves to travel.
