About Prabalgad
Prabalgad Fort is located in between Matheran and Panvel in Raigad District in Maharashtra State. The structure is built at a height of 2300 feet in the Sahyadris Mountain Range. Prabalgad Fort is settled on a top of a plateau. Prabalgad consists of a sister fort which is named as Irshalgad Fort. It is situated in the vicinity of the main fort. Irshalgad is comparatively smaller in area. However, there are numerous water reservoirs that were cut from the rock.

Fireflies or lightning bugs make light within their bodies. This process is called bioluminescence and is shared by many other organisms, mostly sea-living or marine organisms. Fireflies light up to attract a mate. To do this, the fireflies contain specialized cells in their abdomen that helps to create light.

Day 1 - Saturday
18:00 Assemble outside of Panvel Railway Station.
18:15 Move towards base village Thakurwadi by tumtum or local vehicle
19:00 Reach Thakurwadi and ascend to Prabalmachi.
Enjoy fireflies while ascending.
22:00 Reach Prabalmachi village and dinner.
After dinner go for fireflies walk around village.
Day 2 - Sunday
05:30 Wake up and freshen up.
06:00 View sunrise
06:30 Breakfast
07:30 Descend to Thakurwadi.
10:00 Reach at Thakurwadi and move toward Panvel.
11:00 Reach Panvel railway station
