Lonavala Bike n Hike :
The szenische region of Lonavala is a real hot spot for Hilly road cycling, including the steepest uphill climbs of ghat road to amby valley and the same stretch of downhill on the return path. Whether you are looking to test yourself up some of the haute climbs, or have a gentle cycle through the valley, you can do it straight with Pedal Thirst Adventures!!!
Bike n Hike trail from Lonavla – Koraigad - Lonavla (Cycling, Trekking)
Day and Date : June 29, 2019(Saturday, One day event)
Trail Attractions : Bhushi dam, tiger point, Koraigad fort, amby valley view.
Purpose : The purpose of the expedition is to cycle through a challenging uphill and downhill terrain on mountain bikes. They will cover the distance of 40 km (to and fro) mountain biking and around 45 mins of hiking.
Duration : 1 day
Difficulty Level : Moderate
Reporting at Lonavla railway station (Pune) at 8:00 AM.
How to Reach :
From Pune : Local train is the best option to reach Lonavla railway station. 6.30 AM local train from Pune station will get you to Lonavla by 7:50 AM.
From Mumbai : Indrayani express from CST at 5:40 am will get you to Lonavla around 7:58 am
You can also come by your own private vehicle and park it at the railway station parking.
Participants with their own bicycle can bring their bicycle in local train luggage compartment.
From Pune separate luggage ticket for cycle has to be taken at the luggage section at Platform no. 1. Approx one way cost is INR 45.
Things to Carry :
•Sports shoes
•2 lit water bottle
•3/4ths or cycling shorts or track bottoms, extra clothes after the ride
•sunglasses, Personal medication requirements if any, Rain wear.
Schedule of the Trail:
•Reporting at Lonavla railway station by 8:00 AM sharp.
•8:00 am – 8:15 am:- Introduction with the group, Bicycle Distribution, briefing of the trail and gear shifting info.
•Quick Refreshment distribution and breakfast.
•8:45 AM : The trail begins from Lonavla railway station.
•Around 9.15 AM : Reach Bhushi dam, short rest, click pictures.
•12:00 PM : Reach Koraigad base.
•12.00 – 1.30 pm : visit to the Koraigad fort, explore the region, see the view to amby valley.
•2.00 – 2.30 pm : Have lunch
•3:00 pm : The real fun of downhill begins. Reach Lonavla by 5 pm. The trail ends with loads of memories and a sense of achievement, which will boost your confidence for upcoming adventures in your life.
NOTE : Backup Vehicle will be present throughout the trail. All your extra luggage can be kept in the backup vehicle.
Inclusions :
•21 gears MTB cycles with Helmet
•First Aid if required
•1 Breakfast
•Refreshments and energy drink for the ride
•1 lunch (veg / non veg), entry tickets wherever required
•Backup vehicle, trail guide, mechanic to fix running repairs.
Exclusion :
•Anything which is not described in above section will not be provided,
•Personal buyings if any, mineral water.
Trail Cost :
1. 1500 per cyclist with rented bicycles and helmets.
2. 1000 per cyclist with your own bicycle and helmet.
Backup vehicle and mechanical support in case of minor break down is also included for cyclists bringing their own cycles.
Cancellation Policy : before 5 days to the event : 20% penalty
Within 5 days – no refund.
Security Deposit for Cycle : A refundable deposit amount of 1000 per cyclists plus ID proof photo copy has to be submitted before the trails begins. The same will be returned at the end of the trail.
Backup Vehicle : Participants can load their extra luggage in the backup vehicle which will be along with the group for the whole trail.

Please follow the timings given and we will make sure that nothing is missed from the decided plan.
Cycle safety & discipline
The cycles given are to be kept safe. Any damage/theft of cycles or helmets due to negligence of participant, the cost will be borne by the participant which will be deducted from the security deposit.
Note
Participants are expected to behave cordially with each other. Smoking and alcohol consumption is strictly prohibited.
Disclaimer - The participants will participate at their own risk and the organisers shall not be responsible for any loss what so ever caused due to accidents, if any, during the trail. You will be required to sign an Indemnity form before the event begins.
