The Kalsubai range is highest range of Maharashtra with Kalsubai as the highest peak. But Salbari Dolbari range comes second in Rank in the average height with Salher as second highest peak of Maharashtra. Situated on such range adjacent to Salher-Salota forts, Mulher is counted as one of the strongest forts from that area. Mulher with Hargad and Mora forts around forms a trio and this is what made it impregnable. The Mulher, largest of threef the three is about half a mile in extent. About half way up, after passing three gateways, comes a rolling plateau with the ruins of what must have been a considerable town. There are still some houses, a mosque and some cisterns and reservoirs.
