A report by Deloitte indicated accelerated urbanisation will bolster demand for consumer products and push retail sector with India set to add 110M to mid-income households to the existing 190M and add 14M to high-income households to the existing 15M. So effectively, India would boast middle income population of 300M and high income population of 29M, constituting a growing and irresistible market to the world.
India is second largest users of the internet and also has the largest population not-yet on the internet. Every second, 3 new persons joins the internet, two of them from villages. The story is similar with almost all the countries in South Asia.
