Summer Sports Tournament

NPN-12 is pleased to invite players to participate in the Summer Sports Carnival Event. It will be held in Gopalan Sports Centre in Gopalan International School. So come out from digital world and play your passion in the plays field. To manage the event well and to save time for everyone, exact time of each match will be provided.

The Summer Sports Carnival includes the following sports.

• Badminton
• Table Tennis
• Football
• Chess
• Carrom

> Benefits: Trophy + T-Shirt + Medals + Cash Prizes/Gift Voucher.
> Participation certificate will be given to all the players.
> A player a can attend only one tournament only but can participate in the different category.
> The tournament can be extended to next week depending on the registration.

Rules and Regulation:

 Badminton 

• No current top 24 state or national ranked players are allowed.
• Players should bring their own essentials.
• Non marking shoes are compulsory and come in sports attire.
• Players should report to court before 15 minutes of match. Late arrival of players leads to automatic walkover for the opponent.
• Referee decision is final.
• Organizing committee has all the authority to disqualify team/player if they are not obliging to rules of tournament.
• Registration to tournament done by online mode only.
• Spot registration includes extra charges.
• All the players are provided with lunch and refreshments.

• All matches are played by Mavis 350. All the matches will be of knock out format.
• All the qualifying rounds will be 1 game of 30 points without extension.
• Semi-finals and final matches will be conducted for best 3 sets of 21 points.
• Matches starts from 9 am can be extended till 7 pm depending on time availability.
• No extra shuttles are provided for practice.
• Practice shuttles are charged extra.
• Fixtures will be sent to register ID, 3 days before match.

• No Cash Prize for U-17 players

Carom:

        Age Limit: 15+

• Team event (MEN)-4 to 6 players. There will be four group. Team in each group will play against each other on league basis (stage1) and the 2top team in each group will qualify for the quarter-finals, semi-finals & finals, which will be on knock-out basis (stage11), enumerated bellow
  
  1. There will be 3 matches: First singles, Doubles and Second singles .Each match will played on a single board, one after the other. NO Player can play more than 1 match.
  2. The team that wins 2 matches out of 3 what will be declared winner. NO play off match for the 3rd place.
  3. The captains of the teams should report to the referee 15 minutes before the commencement of their matches
  4. The match will be decided by best of 3 games from semi-finals onwards subject to availability of time.

INDIVIDUAL EVENTS

• Men singles: 2 players Men’s. Doubles: 2 pair (per team) All matches will be on knock out basis
• All matches will be decided by one game only
• No play-off match for 3rd place, among the losing semi-finalists.
• All the participants should report to the referee 10 minutes before the commencement of their individual event in which they are participating
• The match will be decided by best of 3 games from semi-finals onwards subjected to availability of time.

 GENERAL

• 1. Time limit for making a stroke by a player and for placing the due (s) penalty (ies)will be 10 seconds only.
  2. Each game will be decided on the basis of a maximum of 8 boards of 25 points or 30 minutes whichever is earlier from first round till final. In case of equal points at the end of 8 boards (30 minutes) one more board will be played for the decider. By toss, it will be decided who has to break the decider board.
  3. Players will have to report to their respective carom board s for each match FIVE minutes before the scheduled time .players can test the boards for 2 minutes within those 5 minutes and shell start their matches at right in time .trial board will not be allowed.in case a player does not report for his match to the umpire on the allotted carom board till the start of the match. Walk over will be awarded against the player.
  4. Only two minutes rest within the playing arena will be allowed between second and third games.
  5. On question of fact, the decision of the umpire will be final
  6 .On question of interpretation of laws or regulations, the decision of referee will be final .

Chess:

• 1. UNDER - 19: Players born on or after 1998 are eligible to play this category.
• 2. OPEN : Any player (age category or senior players can play this event)
• A. Tournament will be of Swiss-league format of 7 rounds for each category.
• B. Time duration will be 15 minutes + 5 seconds increment.

 Football

• Participants should report to the organizing committee with their soft copy or hard copy of their ticket according to their match timings.
• Age Limit: 15+
• Participants are requested to reach the venue 15mins before their match.
• Apart from finals in all the matches the match will be played in following timings.
• Each Half of 10Mins
• Break of 3 mins
• Finals will be played with each half of 15mins and break of 5 mins.
• It’s a knock out tournament
• In case of goals being equal at the end of second half, we will have penalty shoot out to decide the winner for the match. Each team will get 5 chances to score in the penalties.
• In case of any violence by any player from the team, the referee’s decision will be taken as final decision.
• Matches will be played on Artificial Turf.
• Footwear: Studs, Rubber button Shoe or Sports Shoe. Playing barefoot is not allowed.
• Under no circumstances any team can fight (physically) in the ground. If it happens then both the teams will be disqualified from the tournament.
• On spot or offline registrations are charged extra.
• Fixtures will be sent on registered email id, 3 day before the tournament.
• Images and videos of the event will be shared Facebook page and website.
• The Prize Distribution will take place at the end of the tournament.
• Teams are not allowed to change their team of 6 players throughout the tournament.
• If any team or individual does not respect the decision of the referee or line umpires and does not wish to continue with their decision then in that case the team will be disqualified from the tournament and the opponent gets a win.
• Balls will not be given from the organizer for any practice.
• Umpire holds the right to disqualify any team for any kind of misconduct without return of entry fees.

• Fixtures will be sent to registered id, 3 days before match.
• Team category will be played in Davis Cup Format.
